Now I know not everyone loves this holiday and believe you me, I too went through a phase and hated Valentine’s day. However what’s not to like about a day where you express your love for all the special people in your life. Valentine’s day is not just for couples- rally up your squad and celebrate Galentine’s Day with lots of sweet treats and sappy romantic comedies. Whatever the case may be- this holiday is simply just a day to celebrate love.
This Valentine’s day was simple yet sweet. Since it fell on a weekday- both myself and Matt worked during the day. We knew that trying to go out for dinner would be a nightmare in Toronto so we opted for the easiest solution- Delivery. What’s better than being in your pj’s and having a large juicy pizza delivered to your door? Nothing! To top off the night, we indulged in some of the best macarons and eclaires from Delysees on King West. I am certainly glad I do not live within walking distance to Delysees or else I would be for sure be their #1 customer!
On our way home Matt suggested we stop and pick up flowers. Yang’s flower market on Avenue and Davenport is the holy grail of flower markets. By far the biggest selection of roses in Toronto all year round (and did I mention CHEAP too?!). Give me flowers and treats and I’m a happy gal!
