With summer comes an array of flowers scattered across my dining room table! I always make the effort (with Matt’s company) to head over to the Toronto Flower Market each time they pull off one of their crazy busy events. Early in the year they release the schedule of dates which falls once a month on a Saturday. The market consists of various floral vendors selling cut flowers, potted flowers, potted plants and even vases! They have expanded over the past year to include drink and food vendors to make the experience more sociable and friendly! I went to the first date on the schedule- May 13th! Boy oh Boy was it ever a zoo! Since mother’s day was on Sunday the flower market was the busiest I’ve ever seen it! I can’t wait to get my hands on more stunning finds throughout the summer at each event!
Dressing for the flower market is almost like dressing for brunch on a patio! You’ll be outside so it might be a bit breezy. When in doubt- layer it up! My outfit is extremely affordable and happened to already be in my wardrobe! The GAP is one of the best stores for those comfy cozy pieces. I picked up my jacket last season from The GAP but they have different variations each year. I love the detailing that the pockets and zippers give off. The big bonus is within the fabric- super soft and extremely light weight. My shoes are also from The Gap and under $30!
