Over the August long weekend I joined the ‘quarter century club’ alongside a group of fab ladies! Now to some people 25 is young but I feel the slightest bit old when I hear the number 25. Nonetheless, I had a couple celebrations to ring in my 25th birthday!
The first celebration started with a fun night filled with sangria, food and lots of laughs with my fave girls! I knew I wanted a girly theme to go along with my obsession with everything pink & gold. Thanks to Amazon Prime– I was able to snag the beautiful decorations at such a low price. The seller- The Crafty Shop Co. had a bunch of variations when it came to themes/patterns. Pretty obvious which theme I chose! To keep everything on a low budget I added a couple pieces from my local dollar store. To top it off- what’s a birthday if you don’t have number balloons?? Did you truly celebrate a birthday if there was no evidence of balloons? I think not! My blogger bestie- Rebecca (her blog is here– I’m obsessed with everything she writes!) saved the day by getting me the ever so famous number balloons in the most amazing ROSE GOLD colour! Obsessed is seriously an understatement.
To keep it casual I stuck with mostly finger foods as they are the easiest to both consume and clean up. Like always- Homesense struck gold with a couple of serving trays and a mini cake stand. To finish off the night we indulged in a cake made by the Toronto Cake Gods themselves- my friends at Le Dolci! I am becoming more and more obsessed with their creations by the minute. I had asked them to create a fun & girly cake but to keep it a surprise! It was THE MOST girliest, pink-obsessed cake I ever did see and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the result. You guys, yet again- outside yourselves!

Now here’s a blogger blooper if you will.. the wind was wild that day!
