When we think of February 14th, we think of a day to really celebrate love. Now while this is an important celebration, we must not forget about the love we have for our besties. Over the weekend, my girls and I hosted a girly Galentine’s Day party filled with lots of hearts, sweets and bubbly! When creating a girly table filled with treats and hearts, you want to have an established theme to make the tablescape flow in all the right directions. Refer to my Easter Tablescape post as it walks you through a checklist when planning a themed tablescape. February 14th with the girls is a day to celebrate life, love & to indulge in all the bad foods! See below for my 3 easy must-haves for a Galentine’s Party:
Top 3 Must-Haves for a Galentine’s Day Party
- Flowers are a must- Grab a couple dozen roses because duh, it’s Valentine’s Day after all. These will act as a beautiful centre piece for the table and a great photo opp for the gram! An added bonus, you can send each girl home with a couple roses as a takeaway.
- Shop local for sweets- This is a great way to take advantage of what your area as to offer. We grabbed donuts from Loblaws, Cupcakes from Prairie Girl Bakery and a small lemon raspberry VEGAN cake from Sorelle & Co. bakery.
- Don’t forget the Bubbly- This goes without saying, you can’t host a Galentine’s Day party without some bubbly. We made cute pink cocktails with champagne, cranberry juice & raspberries! YUM!
